Hycosan Shield is a preservative and phosphate free eye drop designed to relieve symptoms of dry eye. I’ve suffered with severe dry eye for many years and tried lots of different things, mainly suggested by my optician. Hycosan Shield provides long-lasting protection for up to six hours, helping to keep eyes comfortable and moisturized throughout the day.

Hycosan Shield is a unique and innovative eye drop that replaces the tear film’s outer layer to form a shield and protect the tear film from evaporating.

Remove the cap from the Hycosan Shield bottle, being careful not to touch the dropper tip with your fingers to maintain hygiene.

Hycosan Shield replaces the function of the lipid layer, forming an outer shield over the surface of the tear film, reducing evaporation of the watery layer. So when I saw these from a company I use for my current eye drops which work but not for long enough, I thought I’d give it a go and they work! Remember to avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including your eye, as it can lead to contamination. Hycosan Shield has a single ingredient, water, phosphate and preservative free formulation for the management of evaporative dry eye and MGD. I have to exceed the 4 times a day dose and use them ever 20 mins but other eyedrop evaporate immediately so these work for me and are much better than use night ointments during the day.
