In 2023 the band brought in accomplished musicians and vocalists Simon Johnson and Marcus Bonfanti to their live performance line up. The film was directed by Chris Foggin and was released in cinemas nationwide in the UK on 15 March 2019. It is a voyage that, like their songs, has been a heady mix of emotions, triumph and tragedy, joy and despair, amusement and bemusement, but always above all else it has been blessed with the power of friendship and community.

So said broadcast legend and long-time fan, Jo Whiley on the BBC's Glastonbury coverage this year just after the boys had sung their Cornish hearts out on the Avalon Stage to rapturous applause from a packed crowd. From the rip roaring ‘South Australia’, ‘Drunken Sailor’ and ‘No Hopers, Jokers and Rouges’, made famous by the real life band to stunning new songs like ‘Village By The Sea‘ and 'Tidal Pool’. Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. The band have appeared on BBC One's The One Show on two occasions, been the subject of an ITV1 documentary that charted their early success, a Sky Arts documentary which featured their performance at the Celtic Connections festival, BBC's Countryfile with John Craven and many local news items.

Then there's the small matter of their 2022 performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, the most famous music festival in the world. The film covers them struggling to put together a second album, and how it leads them to perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. What was notable that evening was that within this group there was a range of voices sufficient to cover all points of the vocal compass, from top tenor high up in the north, down to true bass deep in the south.

They're the original buoy band, straight outta Cornwall, and having already landed one hit movie based on their incredible story, The Fisherman's Friends are ready to set sail on the sequel and another album! The best album credited to Fisherman's Friends is Home From The Sea which is ranked number 123,575 in the overall greatest album chart with a total rank score of 1. With the addition of some instrumentation (and it must be said youth) from a couple of mates from just down the coast in Padstow (itself a town long-steeped in musical tradition), they embarked on their momentous and well-charted voyage. Sole Mates comprised tracks that the band had performed during their previous two tours and featured additional instrumentation from Phil Beer from Show of Hands and Emma Murfin from Cornwall-based folk act Black Velvet. Note: Our refurbished grades - Pristine, Very Good and Good - are solely based on the cosmetic condition of the phone. The Fisherman's Friends dedicate new album One and All to tenor Trevor Grills who died in freak accident". I know, it’s hard, but only if we do that can we start to understand just who are the real Fisherman’s Friends. The band have also appeared at Towersey Festival, Wickham Festival, Beautiful days, Costa Del Folk, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Tunes in the Dunes, Boardmasters and Celtic Connections, among others.
