Jetboil Pot Support and Stabilizer

Ever since I started making camping an integral part of my life I have strived to find products that meet my needs as efficiently and simply as possible. I have not tried this with the newer Jetboil Flash yet, but the new valve appears compatible, your mileage may vary. Now intrigued I opened the control valve all the way and that got a result, although one that surprised but did not delight me. The heat is so intense that it could even melt the non-stick coating of a regular pan or warp the pan. Blowtorch push-fit type, fit those cheap, larger stoves that look like a quarter of a normal kitchen gas hob, again no use to you.

Isobutane's boiling point is about +20 so anywhere around or below freezing will render the fuel useless for your stove. As the JetBoil PCS / Flash burners are much further away from the fuel inlet tube of the Brunton Canister Stove Stand, implementing this might be tricky (and adds 2 more failure points to the stove stand). If you like being outside and are nervous about cooking on family camping trips, this could really change the game for you. I do not have a Jetboil stove, so to answer the thread title question: No, I cook with a different stove. The domed and more rust prone bases are made of quite thick material and will take much longer to corrode through than the thinner lest rust prone side and top.

As an extra, added bonus the stove would weigh noticeably less, not rust and would merely turn some pretty variant color in the purple or blue spectrum.

Second, the hose connected to the stove’s regulator weighs less than the 1 lb canister therefore putting less mechanical strain on the connections. It has support flanges that not only lock securely to the burner base but they also fold so the Pot Support can be stowed inside Jetboil system cups. Now that my child is older, I foresee more and more carcamping and would like to modify the Jetboil. This is particularly true if you have to fly in for a given trip and cannot take canisters from home.If gas liquid gas is transferring, you can at least hear it dribbling into the other can when held close to your ear. Jetboil's pot support is compatible with all Jetboil systems except the Genesis, HalfGen, Stash and MightyMo. If liquid fuel actually exits into the burner, you'll have a fireball erupt like a volcano out of your stove. I haven't tried the adapter with that stove, but it *should* be safe provided that you start with the stove on low and turn it up slowly.
