About this deal

Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. The XL2430T features classic tactile round buttons on the right side of the monitor, which bring up BenQ’s classic OSD when any of them are pressed. Bit tacky as its like a deflated beach ball material but it looks nice enough and will protect from dust or if you need to move the monitor it has a cut out to access the handle. The good news is, most viewing angle issues can be resolved when using the height adjustment of the stand. The adjustments for height and tilt are perfect and you’ll struggle to find a viewing angle that won’t suit you with this monitor.

Monitor has a quick switch device(the remote control looking thing on the stand) so you can toggle between 3 different calibrations instantly. Like the XL2720Z, there doesn’t seem to be any real drawback to using “Instant Mode”, so all users of the XL2430T should leave it enabled by default.

We’ve noticed that BenQ has included something that appears to be a position marking feature to allow you to adjust the height of your display with pin point accuracy.

Commenting that you're waiting for an IPS panel or wouldn't ever go back to a TN panel is rather useless. The XL2430T sports a slightly different design than its predecessors, the BenQ XL2420T and XL2420TX . With the best blur reduction we’ve seen to date, its only competition for now is likely to be BenQ’s XL2420G G-Sync-capable model.

I only got to see just how good the Benq monitor is because of the comparison I have been forced to make between my old and new monitors and it just reinforces the decision to go XL2430T. There’s a bit of colour shift at extreme angles, but otherwise things are quite good; you can certainly sit off-angle and still have a good-looking display. I mainly play CS:GO and I've tried different ICC profiles, managed to play a bit with the OSD settings and Enabled "Single Strobe" feature in the service menu but i'm still not happy with the results. The new design feels very mouse-like; it features a scroll wheel button that’s no bigger than the ones found in most mice on the market. The Display Mode button lets you chose one of nine screen sizes, including Full, Aspect, 1:1, and six presets ranging from 17 to 23 inches.

If the buttons aren’t to your liking, you always have the option to resort to the included S-Switch, which allows faster OSD operation. If you want G-Sync, the AOC G2460PG is probably the monitor of choice… but if you’re getting a 144Hz monitor, then G-Sync is probably not the most important feature to have. The great news is, I didn’t have to engage this setting at all, as the XL2430T felt every bit as responsive as my tried and true BenQ RL2455HM gaming monitor, a favorite of mine for playing Ultra Street Fighter IV.They mention that it's a fantastic monitor, with good quality graphics for games and excellent 144Hz screens. Placing a retractable headphone hook on the left side of the monitor display conveniently puts your headphones within arm's reach. BenQ’s XL2430T is a 24-inch monitor that features a 1920 x 1080 (1080p) resolution, with a maximum refresh rate of 144hz. Points were deducted for the overly bright gamma and luminance uniformity, but every other test revealed an excellent monitor, on par with IPS-style displays in many areas. G-SYNC works in a surprisingly simple way - it calculates how long the present frame takes to compute and then, crucially, varies the refresh rate of the monitor to match.
