About this deal

If you are looking for a fun and sweet college sports romance with great characters, look no further! I loved to know better Rhett and to find out he is one of the good men, and Sienna has pleasantly surprised me with her maturity. When the conflict happened every other author/character would have taken Sierra down a needy-whiney-poor-me rabbit hole. The banter between them is fun and entertaining, and the great secondary characters add a lovely layer to their story as the all support each other and add comic relief to the story. I loved her story and background and how she helped Rhett through tough times and was always supportive.

I don’t know what else to say other than Rebecca Jenshak just keeps getting better and better and I love the college sports romance world she has created with this series and the one that came before it.Rhett Rauthruss is a hockey player at Valley U who has been in a long distance relationship with his high school sweetheart. Sierra - let me tell you about Sierra, this character is hands down my favorite character that Jenshak as written.

It’s what every romance reader in the world has been waiting for, an ice hockey player and an ice skater! These two get off to a little bit of a rough start, but they are both dedicated to their sports, and they complement each other perfectly. This book is most definitely much heavier than the others- there is a gravitas in general to bother characters already given past pains both are working through - Rhett’s revolving around his ex. Oh and for my trope loving friends we have the hockey player and the ice skater you’ve all been craving since Netflix axed your favorite show.Ok so I think the readers of this series all were aware that Rhett is loyal AF, but now we get to experience him being loyal AF and a flipping squishy gummy bear falling in love.

This is a hint to all of you who haven't read anything by her yet - pick up one book, and I mean anyone, and you will have a blast. who she was a person), but Rhett stayed with her for multiple reason, which we find out in this book and honestly, once you get to know Rhett, he is loyal, sweet, smart, pretty much everything you’d want in a long term partner and I can see why Carrie – his ex – didn’t want to give him up. When he learns the truth about her, she’s happy that he seems to want to forge ahead and move their friendship towards a more intimate level. Their love story is a fairytale one and sometimes, Rhett's thoughtfulness seems a bit unrealistic to me so that's why this book isn't a 5-star read for me. They start off a little roughly, but man do they blossom into this sweet with the perfect amount of heat romance.I am always so excited to read her next book because I know I’m getting everything I want in a sports romance and more. Rhett came across as a bad boy hockey player when Sienna first met him but it couldn’t have been further from the truth. In the meanwhile he tries hooking up with some side chick but falls asleep on her and there is some small drama there so goes to the skating rink instead to sleep. I’d be lying if I said the cover photo didn’t prompt me into signing up for an arc 😂 but once I’d read the blurb I knew I’d love it and I was right!

I’ve read all the books so far in this series and I wasn’t sure about this one when I read the description, however it was my favourite yet! Both Sierra and Rhett are supportive of each other’s sport and understand the physicality of what it takes to be a collegiate athlete. I enjoyed their competitive streak, but also their soft, intimate moments since they both knew rest was a huge part of recovery in staying healthy. There was no conflict in this and no push and pull btwn the main characters, they were instantly into each other and they were being flirty from jump. Which don't really make much sense now when I think about it, but oh well it's never to crazy to dream I guess.
