About this deal

I’m fairly new to fragrance, as in trying to understand it and enjoy fragrance like a hobby, but I’ve owned colognes, etc since at least middle school.

It is not a long time performer and I don't even remember what the dry down smells like as once it fades it really disappears. Launched in 2012, this fragrance is perfect for any occasion, providing a delightful olfactory experience. I got a decent deal with the 125 ml bottle and spraying it on me generously, enjoying the beautiful scent. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. Smells like a sunny Autumn day somewhere bright and cheerful, where it’s warm outside, but temperatures have started to cool. to the guy below who said it smells like "op: Axe Apollo Clean Shower Gel, middle: Snuggles Dryer Sheets, base: ultra-power Family Dollar Febreeze knock-off".

Starts off with a robust splash of bergamot juice, then settles down into a soft smokey odor (tobacco I suppose). These emphasise the masculinity and can be combined well with other scents of pepper, cinnamon or nutmeg. The only true difference is that the original is that the Lemon was stronger and the tobacco and tonka were slightly less prominent, and I mean SLIGHTLY.

Reading the reviews, how I wish I get the made in france formula, but this UK version smells just nice.

Heart notes for the fragrance consist of rosemary, Szechuan pepper and rosewood, and the mix is rounded out with base notes of musk wood, incense and oak moss. I don't particularly smell any citrus opening like in eau sauvage or Dior homme cologne or aqua di Parma colonia for example. Aside from these old reminiscences and reformulations, I still believe that this scent is as good today as it once was. Wearing this a bit more and familiarizing with scents, opening I get is citrus like they describe, that mandarin only coming after reapplying once. Well, with the current version I am getting -7-8 hours longevity with 1-2 hour fantastic sillage depending on the climate. We’re The Fragrance Warehouse; the retailer here to provide you with the latest fragrances and cosmetics. In 2019, I started an interest in fragrances once again and I was recently gifted this scent by Wilson himself. I agree to many of the reviewers saying that the UK version smells like soap, and I like it somehow eventhough I wish there was more depth to the formula. the scent spreaded all over the house, he perceived it even behind the closed door of the guest room, he asked me about this lovely familiar smell saying it reminds him of his good old days!

I personally don't have an issue with the smell, however I have gotten a comment that it smells like "piss", and I can kind of see where it's coming from. I would give related scents, citruses I mean, as follows - Versace l'homme, habit rouge, even eau du rochas in the beginning with that 90's "generic ozone" aspect. I'll leave a full review of this 2023 version to those who know substantially more about fragrances than myself as my fragrance nose is still quite naive. However, if you spray it on clothing, it lasts quite a bit longer and has a fresh out of the dryer quality. You can safely overspray on your body and clothes,i do like 10+ sprays everytime i use it and it shines. My father used to have the old sticker version in the 90’s, multiple bottles over years, to the extent that this scent summarises my childhood and represents an era. Grapefruit, Bergamot, Sicilian Mandarin, and Juniper are the top notes; Pepper, Rosemary, and Brazilian Rosewood are the middle notes; while Incense, Musk, and Oakmoss are the base notes.
