She said she really couldn’t compare them because the other two were literary and this one was light, but she wholeheartedly loved it. And if to make things worse, Finlay starts writing a novel about what happened with them, and it sells a massive advance for two books once she sends it to her editor.The tone of Finlay Donovan is Killing It lies somewhere between hilarious and heartfelt, or conversely satire and seriousness. If you are looking for serious characters, a well-developed plot, with lots of twists and turns, then you might not like the comedic style of this novel. The two end up putting his body in the car, taking it to Finlay’s ex’s farm, and bury him in the grass, attempting to hide the evidence in the process.
