About this deal

Jeez Louise, Tom Parker Bowles really knows how to throw a good party, and the launch of his new book Let's Eat Recipes From My Kitchen on Selfridges' rooftop was the scrummiest.

Tom Parker Bowles gives us more than 140 of his kitchen staples; the dishes he cooks day in, day out. Tom is appearing as a judge on the new primetime ITV show Food Glorious Food, airing 27th February 2013. The author sets a high bar in the introduction, stating that the bulk of the recipes come from a leather-bound notebook into which recipes only go after a minimum of three attempts and the hard-won approval of his spouse. A chapter on Comfort food is packed with family favourites such as My mum's roast chicken and fish goujons with pea puree.A chapter on Comfort Food is packed with family favourites such as My Mum's Roast Chicken and Fish Goujons with Pea Puree. Hearty fish goujons, lime-marinated prawns and roast chicken did the rounds all night (why doesn't all party food taste like it came from your mother's kitchen?

Some people never proceed beyond reading a cookbook but I wanna work with one and there's nothing more frustrating than unattainable ingredients. This book delivers on both those levels – there are delightful snippets of information woven into these recipes, making them just lovely to read.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Took me 16 minutes in all (lowered temp after first 6 minutes), but seared to perfection thanks to my Thermapen.

How difficult it is the navigate these recipes (the reference section at the back saved me, or I'd have plugged this thing so full of bookmarks it would have looked like a revision guide).Tireless in pursuit of a good dinner, Tom Parker Bowles has eaten some of the best food in the world - and then recreated his favourite dishes in his own kitchen. Interspersed throughout the book are his own family stories behind many of the dishes, along with handwritten notes taken from his personal notebooks, providing an intimate backdrop to each of the recipes (not to mention a soft peek into life within the Parker Bowles home). I can jabber for England and can be lured anywhere with something pink and sparkly or anything that smells nice. I always had a bit of a crush on Matt Tebbutt but he never replied to me on Twitter, so that was the end of that.

Some of the 140 recipes in this book are inspired by food cooked for him by friends and family, some by more formal dinners, some by his travels. How difficult it is the navigate these recipes (the reference section at the back saved me, or I’d have plugged this thing so full of bookmarks it would have looked like a revision guide). The book is filled with just the sort of food I adore at any time of the year: warm and mushy comfort foods, especially those that simmer for hours. So, a fantastic, humorous recipe book full of tried and tested (by Tom) favourites from almost every continent on earth. However, if cooking is new to you, you'll find lots of basic recipes for things like roast chicken and cauliflower cheese. tom has cooked every recipe in his home kitchen again and again before including it in this notebook.
