History/origin: The term "inch" was derived from the Latin unit "uncia" which equated to "one-twelfth" of a Roman foot. There is no industry-wide convention for tubeless tyre fitment and satisfactory results are mostly likely using parts made for use together such as Mavic’s UTS (Universal Tubeless System) tyres and rims.
