About this deal

Our sales team is continually looking to introduce the Ezra Brooks brand to new consumers in new places. We’re confident that with our expanded Ezra Brooks lineup, there’s sure to be an Ezra Brooks variant for everyone.

Klassiske bourbon dufte kommer frem, især den forkullede egetræ, som alle bourbons skal møde i sin lagring. Herefter kommer der en rig vanilje og karamel, som følges let af den højere procent alkohol, som også bringer nogle lette peanut noter. Smag: Bourbon aged less than 2 years must have its age labeled on the bottle, with the age labeled as the youngest bourbon used

Try a Ezra Brooks Black Label Sample…

Many connoisseurs feel that removing those compounds actually negatively changes the bourbon. But others feel the clearer and less-hazy liquid is actually a reason for purity. You’ll have to decide your opinion on your own.

In addition to launching Ezra Brooks 99, we introduced a new barrel‐programme offering for 2021, called Ezra Brooks Cask Strength Single Barrel. This cask strength, 120‐proof variant is available to retail partners who visit Lux Row Distillers to select a single barrel of Ezra Brooks.Setting those concerns aside, what has become of Ezra Brooks? In the past, the brand carried a seven year age statement, with single barrel bottlings (called “Ezra B”) coming in 15 and 12 year iterations. These have fallen by the wayside, however, and the current Ezra Brooks lineup is significantly more modest in its ambitions. I love that Wathen’s, I think it’s an absolutely brilliant, interesting and unique bourbon and this Ezra Brooks 99 Bourbon Whiskey comes across like a toned down, slightly more caramel-driven, version of that awesome whiskey. So if you’ve had any of those Wathen’s, and liked them, you’ll probably like this too – or vice versa. Though if you’re looking for the same-old Ezra Brooks taste… this ain’t it. Dette giver den en sødere smag fra kornet og en mere krydret note, da der er blevet brugt rye (rug), og ikke wheat (hvede) som komplementerer de højere procenter alkohol meget godt, da det frembringer noget af den mere krydrede og komplekse smag. Just like whiskey! Except in America. With corn. And aged in new charred barrels. But that doesn’t help you if you’re new to whiskey, does it? But barley still adds some flavors, especially richer notes like toasted nuts, pumpkin pie, eggnog, and sweet cream. Why are some Bourbons considered “Bottom-Shelf”?

John Rempe, master distiller at Lux Row Distillers said: “With Ezra Brooks 99, our goal was to create a higher-proof Bourbon without sacrificing the rich notes Ezra Brooks is known for, and we achieved that with 99. The result is a smooth, drinkable Bourbon with hints of caramel, vanilla, chocolate and spice that we are incredibly proud of.” You walk into the shop, anxious to try your first bourbon and you find…Ezra Brooks. But what’s in it? What does it taste like? You’ll want to know a little bit about it before you buy! These grains are combined with varying proportions, added to water, and cooked. This creates what is known as “mash.” Many bottle shelf bourbons follow this same route, but so do several higher-end bourbons. Obviously, it’s prevalent among smaller craft distillers who may not have the means to do the whole process themselves. But surprisingly even some of the better-known brands will do it too, even if it is just in one or two of their product offerings.

More Alternatives…

We are working with our overseas importers to bring Ezra Brooks 99 in the 750ml bottle to consumers worldwide. We are also looking to produce an Ezra Brooks 99 700ml bottle to help grow our distribution in Europe, from early 2022.
