Pure Hell’s unique sound led them to New York, where they became characters in a seminal subculture recognised today as punk. Leon Neon was released in 1986 and while the hype was pretty high for them, they did not seem to deliver. He was one of the first to introduce the Bay Area to the intoxicating rhythms of house in 1987, when he hosted the Friday late morning show on the air for KALX, the University of California-Berkeley's radio station.With this said many breeds are different and it is always advisable to discuss things with a vet and then follow their advice on when a dog should be spayed or neutered. The band’s story began in West Philadelphia in 1974, when four teenagers – lead vocalist Kenny ‘Stinker’ Gordon, bassist Lenny ‘Steel’ Boles, guitarist Preston ‘Chip Wreck’ Morris and drummer Michael ‘Spider’ Sanders, set out to follow in the footsteps of their musical idols. Many stories that surfaced were bizarre – the 19th-century slum girl dispatched to Bellevue asylum for claiming she lived at the glorious new hotel before it had even opened; the concert pianist’s wife who cut off her hand and placed it on the bedside table before leaping from a window to her death.Spinks won three consecutive national AAU light heavyweight championships from 1974 to 1976, the first of which came against future champion Michael Dokes. But beyond their association with Vicious, Pure Hell’s European tour was a major success in part due to Curtis Knight’s strategic marketing campaign, which sensationalised their race.
